Experimental Release

1. Purpose of the release:
Assay for increased tuber yield under heat stress conditions.

2. Geographical location of the site:
Málaga

400 m2

4. Relevant data regarding previous releases carried out with the same GM-plant, if any, specifically related to the potential environmental and human health impacts from the release:
This is a first release. No impact on human health is foreseen.

Environmental Impact and Risk Management

Summary of the potential environmental impact from the release of the GMPts:
No selective advantage is foreseen aside from an increase yield in tubers under heat stress conditions.

Brief description of any measures taken for the management of risks:
The field will be isolated by a fence and only specialized personnel will have access to it. After the test is completed it will be treated with herbicide twice, directly after harvest and 4 month later, to assure sprouting of any tuber that could have been left over.

Summary of foreseen field trial studies focused to gain new data on environmental and human health impact from the release:
